Royal kinship
Ego nswt (“the king”) = Hmt-nswt (“the wife of the king”)
In the Sixth Dynasty new titles are added to those already mentioned and their holders are mostly officials from outside the royal family. Some of these titles refer to the priesthood dedicated to the cult of former kings. The titles related to the royal cult become bureaucratized in the Sixth Dynasty and are usually held by the new viziers as part of their attributions. Thus during the Fourth Dynasty all the viziers were s3 nswt whereas during the Sixth Dynasty selected officials not related to the royal family accomplished the vizierate.
